ScoringIn addition to assembling the monsters and solving levels, many lab assistants try to get the best score for each level. On the Igor's Adventures With The Mad Scientist website, a high-score list shows who has achieved the best scores for each level. If you complete a level with a great score, email your game save file and your name will be added to the high-score list!
Note that the scoring for Igor's Adventures With The Mad Scientist is similar to golf: the best score is the lowest score! Each step you take adds ‘10’ to the score, so try to take as few steps as possible.
Completing the assembly of a monster subtracts 1000 points from your score (remember, you want the lowest score, so this is a good thing).
Mixing a Yellow
and Green
Flask
creates a gold coin,
which subtracts 100 points from your score.
Feeding a scurry subtracts from your score. However, the more you feed a particular scurry, the fewer points are removed. If you feed the scurry too much, it starts adding to your score!
Each turn, whether you take a step or stay where you are, adds 10 points to your score.
