Movables do not affect the vine, other than blocking the vine from entering their square.
The pot contains the shoot of a mutant vine. If something causes the vine to start growing (either a
Gardener Robot or a
Cyan Flask),
the vine will rapidly grow
until it fills the laboratory, even across
powered floors not turned on, over
pushers, and under
lattices. Vines do not grow over workbenches and
pits, through switches,
electrical
fences or walls, and cannot grow through hurdles.
They avoid teleporters, conveyors, and gears. If vines grow over touchplates, the corresponding t-doors are lowered. Vines can only pass through lowered t-doors. Vines won’t change the direction of doors, but they will grow through open doors.
The Gardener Robot or a
Violet Flask
can be used to prune or
kill a vine. If the Gardener Robot ‘backs
away’ from the pot, the vine starts growing. If the Gardener Robot ‘pushes’ into the vine, that section
of vine and all its decendents wither. If the Gardener Robot pushes into the pot, the whole vine is
killed (and if the vine had never started growing, it never will).
